Inclusive Care Specialist

Basic Responsibilities

  • Provide quality, client-specific, childcare for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

  • Identify and address problematic behaviors in accordance with Positive Behavior Support Techniques

  • Help children learn and grow through interactive play and appropriate behavior modeling

  • Ensure effective communication between all support and family members

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in early childhood education, psychology, nursing, counseling or related field, plus one year of related experience with children with autism spectrum disorders;

  • or the equivalent of two years of college coursework with a concentration in early childhood education, psychology, nursing, counseling or related field, plus four years of related experience with children with autism spectrum disorders.

  • Familiar with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.

  • Demonstrate good judgement, decision making, and communication skills.

  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Valid CPR certification.

  • Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver’s license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration.

  • Must be loving, dependable and able to multitask.

  • Must be able to ensure effective communication with parents and family members.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
